Short answer: yes.
Long answer: I remember when Windows XP first came out, much like Windows ME, it had alot of issues...mainly with software compatability. A couple years down the line nobody seemed to really remember any of that. That's is what I think Windows 7 will be like. People will be hesitant at first (largely due to the failure of Vista), but slowly convert or buy new computers with Windows 7 preinstalled. I would like to bypass Vista and hopefully find something nice with Windows 7. I hear it is supposed to be a much lighter OS (not needing as much resources as Vista at least). But also allows the benefit of 64-bit computing and Direct X 10+. And possibly the new faster file system that they were supposed to incorporate into Vista. |
