We’re just 2-days away from the start of the Apple Vision Pro pre-order, and developers are already able to publish and release apps. Some of the most interesting apps will be the entertainment options that make use of the headset’s ultra-high-resolution micro-OLED displays that pack a combined 23 million pixels.
Apple’s new R1 chip is capable of streaming images to each display every 12 milliseconds, while the M2 chip delivers ultra power-efficient performance across its CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, and other custom technologies. On a full charge, users can expect around two hours of general use, up to 2.5 hours for video playback, and all-day use when the external battery is connected to power with a USB-C charging cable.
