Apple TV Super Mario 64 Port tvOS
Officially called the “Super Mario 64 decomp project,” this port is exactly as it sounds, but for an unlikely device, the Apple TV. This isn’t a basic port either, as it’s designed to run at 60FPS on tVOS and was made possible due to the sm64 decompilation project, along with sm64ex. The original goal was to create a Super Mario 64 port for iOS, but eventually morphed into this project.

For those wanting to try this out on their own Apple TV device, you’ll have to built the game from source on your Mac using this Github code. After downloading, follow the Xcode build instructions and then change the target device to Apple TV instead of iOS.

2021 Apple TV 4K with 32GB Storage (2nd Generation)
  • Dolby Atmos for immersive, room-filling sound
  • A12 Bionic chip gives a big boost to audio, video, and graphics, for even better game and app experiences
  • 4K High Frame Rate HDR with Dolby Vision for fluid, crisp video

This past week I got it up and running on the Apple TV which, as shown here, runs it perfectly with the 60fps patch and full screen. Note that this is running natively on the Apple TV and uses no emulation whatsoever thanks to the sm64 decompilation project and sm64ex,” said the programmer.
