SpaceX Starship Fire 33 Raptor Engines Test

SpaceX Starship completed its second flight last week, and in doing so, it successfully fired up all 33 of its Raptor engines. Elon Musk recently uploaded footage of the launch that provides us with an up-close look at the Raptor engines.

SpaceX’s Raptor is the third rocket engine ever to be designed to use a full-flow staged-combustion-cycle, as well as the first of its kind to power a spacecraft. The liquid methane/oxygen fuel is also being used by many different companies such as Blue Origin’s BE-4 engine, as well as the Space Epoch’s Longyun-70, the latter of which has been described as a ‘mini Starship’.
