I need help changing my Intel 2 duo processor T6400 from a vista to an xp. I'm too used to the windows xp. How can i do it? I have another dell desktop thats the Dimention 3100/E310 and i have the cds for reinstalling dell tools system software and reinstalling windows media. So, what can i do to change my vista to an xp. I also don't want to exchange this laptop. Also, I have the cds that reinstall window vista.

what vista version do you have? I am not sure what version of vista that serial number may be use for xp installation.

anyway, here are some checklist before downgrading:
1. xp license
2. xp drivers < you may download it from manufacturer's site.
3. software < make sure that your vista software are compatible to xp.

I think you'll make with that.

No you cannot use the same license as vista for xp.
