Default Video Card measurement problems? - 10-10-2009, 02:06 PM

Hey there, this is the first time I've posted on any tech forums, so my apologides if I forget to list something vital - my video card recently overheated, leaving me with a search for a new video card. I'm using a Dell Dimension 4700 (somewhat old, I know), have maxxed out my RAM, and have installed a Silencer 750 Quad from PC Power and Supply. I was running an NVIDIA 8600 GTX video card, which fit fine. When that card overheated, I ordered an ATI Radeon 4700, but since it came in, I realized that it does not fit my computer. I'm looking at an NVIDIA GTX 250, but on the NVIDIA website, the width is listed as 'dual slot', which I assume means that it won't fit for me. I need help on finding a good, up-to-date video card for gaming that will fit my computer! Preferably, I'd like to go no lower than an NVIDA 9800 GT. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
