Default WD Media Player and ethernet drive? - 02-09-2009, 04:11 PM

If someone can help me figure this out, I'd really appreciate it. I want to buy the WD Media Player and connect it to my Ethernet Drive. Of course the drive only has an ethernet port and a USB A port (flat end). To my knowledge, that port is only used for adding another external usb drive to the ethernet drive itself.

My question is if it's possible to connect the ethernet drive to the WD Media Player with a USB A to A cable? Would the Media Player still recognize the drive? As you can see, i want to be able to dl things into my ethernet drive wirelessly and have as little things hooked up to my tv as possible. Currently my computer is next to my tv but if this will work, I'll have a lot more space.

Thanks in advance,
Geosama
