GMC W-Series Box Truck Turned Tiny House
Scott, an avid surfer, came across a 2008 GMC W-Series box truck and decided to turn it into a cozy, solar-powered tiny house on wheels. On the inside, it looks like a typical apartment in the big city, complete with a big screen TV, wood paneling, a full-sized sofa, and lots of storage space, with some hidden in the flooring.

A 1600 watt solar power system keeps all of the electronics powered up including two air conditioners, washing machine, 50-inch TV, fridge, and a separate freezer. Every month the waste tank can be quickly and easily emptied by connecting the hose to a pump out station, which means a regular toilet and not having to deal with a compositing version. When all was said and done, it cost Scott around $65,000 USD for this conversion.
