Default confused TV fan - 11-06-2008, 10:36 PM

Hi, I live in Japan but do not speak japanese....
I bought a Sony Bravia TV set (KDL-20S2500). I would like to connect my McBook Pro to it to watch some downloads.. How do I do that?
At the back of the TV set there are two PC inputs, I connected my computer to those but nothing happens. The TV displays a little "PC" icon on the top left corner when I select the appropriate channel. I cannot refer to the manual since it is in Japanese. What do I need to do?
I would appreciate your help. I love watching TV and the English speaking shows are few and not my favorite.

Welcome to the TechEBlog forums! First off, you may need to get a DVI-I to VGA or HDMI adapter since most TVs do not have a DVI connector. That, or the MacBook may not recognize the TV as a compatible second display. However, if you have properly connected the MacBook to your TV, then it may just be that you need to go into System Preferences -> Display and detect it.
