The fan-made LEGO Ideas JAWS set received 10,000 supporters and passed expert review, which means that it’s headed to production. Created by Jonny Campbell, also known as Diving Faces, the set includes Martin Brody, Matt Hooper, Quint, and Bruce the Great White Shark minifigures, complete with an accurately detailed ORCA boat.
Campbell wanted to build this 1,860-piece model because JAWS is his favorite movie and he re-watched the film several times to ensure that every detail could be captured as accurately as possible. It might surprise some that Campebell is not a LEGO expert full time, but rather a person who works in the government finance department from Newtonards, a small town just outside Belfast, Northern Ireland. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced.

The most difficult part was probably the mast of the boat in order to make it sturdy, while not losing any of the detail. I tried lots of different variations until I finally settled on its present design. It took a few days to build the model digitally, at first, and then a day or so to put it together, physically, when I had sourced any parts I needed,” said Campbell.
