Microsoft’s Windows Phone (WP) initially launched on October 21, 2010 and then eventually discontinued in 2020. It’s essentially a family of mobile operating systems developed by Microsoft for smartphones as the replacement successor to Windows Mobile and Zune, but what if they continued development? A recently leaked video gives us a glimpse at Andromeda OS, which is designed exclusively for dual-screen mobile devices.

Zac Bowden of Windows Central managed to get his hands on the operating system running on a single-screen Microsoft Lumia 950, mainly due to the fact that engineers working on Andromeda did not have access to dual-screen Andromeda devices, so they had to make do with this handset. After unlocking the device, the user is welcomed by a note-taking screen, while the operating system itself is gesture based, which means that you could swipe left for the Start Menu or right for Cortana.
