Designed by Patrick Hyland, the Nokia E-Cu is an innovative cell phone that can be charged from the heat in your pocket. In other words, “an integrated thermogenerator converts heat from any source into electrical energy to charge the phone, whether while being carried in your pocket or placed on top of a radiator.” Click here for more pictures.

I’m not so sure the increasing prices (and demand) for copper will ever make this phone a reality, but in the meantime it’s nice to see someone use the Nokia name for good. Unlike, err, Nokia.
