Default Need help please - 02-13-2008, 04:23 AM

Hi everyone - I'm not sure I am in the right forum or even on the right site so maybe someone can redirect me to the proper place for help

I visit message boards - specific ones that I will not call out who they are. But I would like to know something. I understand that administrators can get your IP address, and know who you are.

Of course I am not a malicious person in any sense of that word (esp on forums).

But what I would like to know is: is there any way a person can find out, if they suspect someone who operates the controls of a board, (or who is given permission to get into those controls by a board owner) if the board owner has sent some kind of virus to the computer that you are using at the known IP address, and if you can obtain through legal channels, the IP address of these board owners who are able to trace you?

Please advise, because if my suspicions are correct, that I don't want to go into detail here but with someone who can legally assist, I am ready to lower the boom on some smart-alecks in forumboard land....

Thanks for your help or direction on this and have a great night!

I would like you to know that what you wnat is elligal. There is oem ways but still your administrator is the one who is making the rules. He'll discover it as soon as you made this action. You'll wil just get your self fired if you tried to trick your own boss.
