Two thieves planned a heist that involved cut a 24″ x 18″ hole through a coffee shop bathroom’s wall to gain access to the Apple Store stock room at Alderwood Mall in Washington. A total of 436 iPhones and other devices were stolen, calculated to be worth roughly $50,000 USD.

Lynnwood police offers believe that it was a well-organized operation based on what they’ve seen from surveillance video. Why? That video allegedly shows the two thieves wearing special masks as wellas gloves, leaving not even a single fingerprint at the crime scene. Local news stations have requested that footage, but it has not yet been released due to the ongoing investigation.

Two men broke into one of our retail locations. Why? To cut a hole in our bathroom wall to access the Apple Store next door and steal $500k worth of iPhones,” said Mike Atkinson, CEO of Seattle Coffee Gear.
