I have a few emachines lying around....and for some reason i booted them up.....and I really like them....i have no idea why...prolly mind control beams or something...lol....but for some reason they sent me a free copy of vista...dont know why...but they're a niice company.....i give them my love...

lol...it's a really cheap computer...they're usually crappy...but for some reason they give me free stuff....

I've heard both good and bad, but lately they were bought out, or so I heard, and have been restructuring the company.

They're not as bad as you think. Although they were bought out by Gateway, they're prices are good with regards to low-cost PC/Laptops. You can check them out at emachineusa. It's worth a look if you ask me. The specs compare to the high end brands out there in the market.
