Default How to convert video for Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 - 11-26-2008, 06:16 AM

The Xperia X1 is a smartphone from Sony Ericsson and is the first in the manufacturer's Xperia series. The X1 was first presented at the 2008 Mobile World Congress. It is an arc-slider phone with the Windows Mobile 6.1 Operating System. Xperia X1 and other phones running Windows Mobile, like HTC TouDiamond, O2 Atom, Samsung i900, support various video formats such as 3GP, MPEG-4, WMV.

And computer users nowadays are likely storing many video clips in their hard disk. However, because of the screen size and the video sources, they may need to convert the videos on computer before importing their clips to this beautiful mobile device.

For this reason and if you are one of such users and want to play movies on Xperia X1, you need to convert the video first. Follow below steps to get playable videos for your phone.



Step 1 : need a 3GP/MP4/WMV video converter

To convert video for Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, you need a video converter. Download and install Any Video Converter. With this powerful converter, you can convert almost all video formats including DivX, XviD, MOV, rm, rmvb, MPEG, VOB, DVD, WMV, AVI, FLV movie formats to 3GP, WMV, or MP4 ready for your mobile phone.



Step 2: add source video

Launch Any Video Converter and press Add Video button to add video from hard disk, or just drag and drop your video into the program. This converter also supports converting online videos like YouTube, Google Video, MetaCafe and Japanese Nico Video to your mobile phone directly. What you need to do is just to paste the URL of your favourite online video to the program.



Step 3 : select video format for Sony Ericsson Xperia X1

Iin the program, select output format from Profile drop down list. Since Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 supports 3GP, MP4 and WMV formats.

And in the right panel, go to Video Options and set Video Size to 320x240. If you like, you could also change other options, such as Video Codec, Video Bitrate, Audio Codec, Audio Bitrate, Audio Channel, Disable Audio, etc; or only convert certain segment from the source video by defining the Start Time and Stop Time.



Step 4 : convert video for Sony Ericsson Xperia X1

Press Encode button, then Any Video Converter will start encoding your source video into desired output format.



Step 5 : find output file

Once encoding is finished, go to left panel, click on the corresponding format label. And in the middle window, right click on the converted file and select Open File Location, then you can check this video in the output folder from the hard drive.



Now, connect your mobile phone with computer, import output videos into it, and have fun!

Thanks for the article on how to convert video for Sony EricssonXperiaX1 I have been looking for something like that for a while now Coz i have one and did not know how to use it.
