Default Canon EOS C300 Mark II to FCP X workflow - 06-13-2018, 07:55 AM

Step-by-stpe guide on: How to import and edit Canon EOS C300 Mark II 4K MXF videos in Final Cut Pro without rendering.

How to Convert Canon EOS C300 Mark II MXF to Apple ProRes for FCP 7/X editing

Step 1:Download and install the MacCanon MXF Converter, launch it and then click "Add" button to load your source Canon EOS C300 Mark II 4K MXF videos to it.



Tip:
While importing 4K MXF videos to the Converter, please make sure you have the entire MXF file structure as it saved on your camcorder'scard. If you only have some individual .MXF clip, your files will only have image without audio after conversion.

Step 2: Click on the "Format" bar and get the dropdown menu, then move your pointer to choose "Final Cut Pro> Apple PreRes 422" as the output format.




Step 3: Click Convert button to start convertingCanon EOS C300 Mark II MXF to ProRes for Final Cut Pro 6/7 or FCP X on Mac OS X.Once the conversion completes, you can click "Open" to find the generated ProRes .mov videos which can be directly imported to Final Cut Pro X or FCP 7 for further smooth editing.
