I am not going to upgrade yet i will hold o to my trustable xp. Ive used Windows Vista and it is very impresive, but I would just rather keep my XP. So, Windows 7, see you in about 3 years.
As for myself, I will probably upgrade to Windows 7. Thanks for entering the contest guys, only one more day to go, so you all have a very good chance of winning!
I will upgrade because vista just didnt cut it for me and i know windows seven is supose to have more power under the hood at less cost to the computer. I hear their also makeing a lighter laptop version.
I wont be upgrading to Win7 until and/or unless it is proven to be better than XP in terms of useability, hardware compatability, and resource requirements.
In other words: If I cant fully implement it on mid-grade consumer hardware without driver issues, byzantine versioning/pricing, or overzealous security nags, then M$ wont be getting any of my hard-earned cash. Ill just finally go Linux.

Reason: Needed more vitriol
Well, on my deskbox no, probably not, but i need to get a new laptop soon, and i'm planning on getting win7 on it... still don't know when i get the laptop though.
Long answer: I remember when Windows XP first came out, much like Windows ME, it had alot of issues...mainly with software compatability. A couple years down the line nobody seemed to really remember any of that. That's is what I think Windows 7 will be like. People will be hesitant at first (largely due to the failure of Vista), but slowly convert or buy new computers with Windows 7 preinstalled. I would like to bypass Vista and hopefully find something nice with Windows 7. I hear it is supposed to be a much lighter OS (not needing as much resources as Vista at least). But also allows the benefit of 64-bit computing and Direct X 10+. And possibly the new faster file system that they were supposed to incorporate into Vista.
