I just saw this artical and personally I'm really excited about it now. I'm a huge Mortal Kombat fan, to the extent that I was playing MK2 for 3-4 hours on my Mega Drive the other day. The 2D versions were alway far superior to the newer 3D versions.

I'm really looking forward to seeing more about this now.
